Fuengirola - Marina Fuengirola has five miles of sandy beaches with a wide palm tree lined promenade, the beaches at Gaviotas and Torreblanca hold a European blue flag. Originally a small fishing village until relatively recently, Los Boliches still reflects this with narrow streets and traditional white washed houses once belonging to the local fishermen.

Fuengirola is a multi-cultural community and consequently it has an impress range of entertainment and restaurants anything from traditional tapas to fish and chips, Indian and Chinese and everything in between. It also has a superb selection of supermarkets and shops.

Traditional festivals are an important feature of every day life in Fuengirola

July hosts the feast of the Virgin del Carmen when local fisherman carry an effigy of the Virgin out to sea. The week long feria takes place in October and is the time when the town really comes to life with traditional Spanish entertainment from flameno to fino (dry sherry).
