Carrefour, Miramar Shopping Centre

A hypermarket, situated just past Dunnes Stores. This is in a huge shopping centre which contains one of the largest supermarkets on the Costa. On the top level there is a 12 screen cinema and a host of bars and restaurants.

Half a mile further on past Dunnes Stores.

Lidls Supermarket

This is a cheap bulk buy, cash only store. It is about 500m before Dunnes Stores (approx 10 mins by car).

Turn left out of Sitio, drive down to the roundabout, take the first right, drive approx. 1/2 mile and it is on your right.

Dunnes Stores

This supermarket has a good selection of food and clothes. As this is an Irish store, you can get a lot of brands such as Marmite, Bisto, McVities Digestive biscuits etc. They also carry a good inexpensive range of clothing should you forget your swimming togs!

Follow the directions to Lidls and it is about 500m on the right.

Merca Mijas Supermarket

The closest store, turn right out of the community and it's 5 mins walk.

Good for anything small you need. They have a selection of English food (including Heinz soup).

Chemist

There is a chemist situated behind Euromarket and they speak good English. Opening hours are 10.00 - 14.00 and 17.00 - 19.00 Monday to Friday and mornings only on Saturday.

Malaga

If you fancy a shopping or sightseeing tour in Malaga, we suggest that you take the train - but not from Fuengirola... drive back past the airport and take the exit for La Plaza Mayor. This is a large complex with a huge selection of restaurants and a few shops, but best of all it has free parking and a train stop which is only a short distance into central Malaga.
